To get through the hardest journey we need take only one step at a time, but we must keep on stepping. ~ Chinese Proverb
Earlier this week, I had my 66th follower sign up for my blog. In many ways, we’re on this journey together. Naturally, this lead me to think of some of the historic highways. Route 66 was one of this country’s first transcontinental highways. The route starts in Chicago and goes all the way to Los Angeles. Doesn’t that sound like a great Ulysses adventure? Since the arrival of Ulysses, I’ve realized it doesn’t really matter where we go. What matters is that we get out and go. Our journey tonight includes carbs in the form of pie ala mode. We only purchased half a pie so that’s only half bad. Okay, there’s two halves there. We couldn’t decide which flavor was best.
Next we have a Scarlet O’Hara cocktail. The cranberry juice in this cocktail makes it a refreshing drink for Spring.
Even the kitties are having carbs. Their latest meow box was chef themed. Check out that french bread and whisk. And yes, that’s a meatball attached to a fork.
