This year, I challenged myself to read more. My quest is to complete 12 books this year. That seems doable, right? It’s only one book a month. Audio books during the commute is keeping me on target. Last week, we purposely didn’t plan many outings on our Ulysses Adventure. I brought plenty of reading material hoping to finish at least one book. The place we were staying at had this lovely little reading nook. It was a perfect place to sit with a cuppa in the mornings or watch the sunset. I was able to finish one book and make good progress on a second. By Book or By Crook is the first book in the Lighthouse Library Series. Yes, I read them out of order before I realized it was a series. Nonetheless, I enjoyed sleuthing out the murder with Charles the cat. What could be better than a body in the library that’s also a lighthouse? Book number four is Spooks in the Stacks. I was delighted to find out Eva Gates is a pen name for Vicki Delany. She has several other murder mystery series. While I’m waiting for book number four in the Lighthouse Library Series, I’m going to start Elementary, She Read. Murder in a bookshop sounds delightful! Isn’t this a stunning sunset? Do you have a favorite place to read or watch the day wind down?
