All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence. ~ Martin Luther King Jr.
May 1 is often referred to as May Day or International Workers Day. Since the beginning workers have needed to fight for their rights which included an 8 hour work day. In 2020, we’re fighting for the rights of essential works and worker safety. There are so many people putting their lives on the line and will continue to do so to keep us safe, healthy and fed. One area tea shop is putting together tea packets for our local health care heroes. Dear follower, if you’re an essential worker reading this I think you with all of my heart.

Do you celebrate May Day in any way? Typically, we celebrate by turning off the heat every year on May 1. I think we might wait until Monday to do this officially. It’s supposed to be rather chilly here this weekend.

The kitties are working hard at sunbathing here. Check out Burt’s new friend.
Hope everyone’s weekend is off to a great start. Stay safe!
