Food for the body is not enough. There must be food for the soul. ~ Dorothy Day
By now you’ve probably realized the British Hubby and I enjoy eating good food. The British Hubby has an incredible sweet tooth. I love a good bagel. This week when the British Hubby was doing his late night masked shopping trip, he made an exciting discovery. Keto buns! That’s right you read that correctly. Keto buns! And only 1 gram of net carbs. Can you tell I’m excited?

Okay, I’m going to admit a dirty little secret passion of mine. I love breakfast sarnies. A fried egg with some ham, cheese and jam on a bagel or a croissant or English muffin or toast. Or you can change it up with bacon or sausage. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I especially love greasy fast food drive-thru breakfast meals. You know the ones I mean that are on a biscuit or English muffin and come with a deep fried hash brown patty. Many places have them. I love them. I know they’re horrible for ones health, but I love them. When the British Hubby brought these into our lives, I realized I could create my own healthy keto breakfast sarnie. No processed artificial flavors here. We even have sausages from the local butchers.

To be honest, I can’t even remember the last time I ate fast food. When we decided to have a healthier lifestyle, we cut out processed foods, carbs and sugar. It was hard at first. Now I recognize when I eat real food, I feel better. We do still buy a few premade sauces and items, but that meant changing our convince item purchases to more local grown and sustainable products. That’s why it is incredible exciting to find more keto friendly items. Now I can recreate my own favorite food cravings in a healthy version. Look at how many amazing ways we’ve already found to use these.

I leave you with a visitor we caught in our garden this week. Remember a few weeks or months ago, I mentioned we spotted a rust colored bobcat roaming through the neighborhood? This sparked an idea for a future collaboration on a youtube channel. We’re currently collecting footage on our new motion sensor camera.
