Do not go where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
It’s been several weeks since I’ve done a book challenge post. I’ve been reading, and have a few books to chat about. Somedays I just don’t have the creative juices to do a blog post justice. One day I’ll have plenty of time for crafting, writing, cooking and working out. For now, I just have to squeeze them in around the day job.
Book eight in my 2020 Book Challenge is An Elderly Lady Is Up To No Good by Helene Tursten. Translated by Marlaine Delargy. This is a collection of short stories about Maud. Maud is an 88 year-old woman with no family and no friends (she’s outlived most of them) and no qualms about a little murder. This book was hilarious. It’s amazing what Maud gets away with. It just goes to show we expect old people to be frail, infirm and feeble minded when that isn’t always the case. If you’re looking for an entertaining book that you can’t put down, this is the book for you.

It’s October 1. You’re probably wondering how I did on my September tea challenge. Did I finish at least two packets of tea? As the the nights get longer and longer, the mornings are quite chilly. That means I’m now making pots of tea instead of cups. This month I finished six packages of tea!
- Orange Jasmine from Spice Merchants. Okay, I knew I had some old tea, but I bought this when the British Hubby and I still lived in California. I’ld like to believe that this tea isn’t 15 years old, but well it just might be. This black tea with hints of orange, vanilla and jasmine was still fantastic.
- Two and three both come from Cup and Kettle. These were purchased the first time the British Hubby and I visited Leavenworth when we moved to the PNW. These are a little younger at around eight years. Banana-nana and Pineapple Upside Down Cake were both black teas. Also still fantastic.
- The last three come from Plum Deluxe and have no travel memories other than me wondering around the house in various forms of wfh lounge wear. Maple Cinnamon Delight Oolong, Thai-licious Chai Tea and Gingerbread Chai Tea were all very autumnal. These arrived in 2020 so still fresh. I’m a chai fanatic. Plum deluxe has amazing new blends every year. You can understand now why I have such a large tea collection/addiction.

What’s been in your cup lately? Are you a pumpkin spice fan? Or do you detest everything pumpkin spice?
