Celebrate Life: Holiday Lights

Leave a sparkle where ever you go.

It’s Friday again. That means we’re celebrating life. This week we’re celebrating holiday lights. Many world religions and cultures have festivals that celebrate light. We can go back to pagan times to Winter Solstice celebrations that celebrate the return of sunlight from darkness. Numerous early religions and civilizations worshipped the sun. Is it a coincidence humans are made of stardust? (Personally, I don’t believe there are any coincidences only the illusion of coincidences, but I’ll let you make your own decision.)

This year, we decided to put up significantly more holiday lights inside and outside the house than previous years. Earlier in the week, the British Hubby noticed the lights coming in through the washroom create this cool kaleidoscope effect. Every evening we both secretly sneak a peek and giggle like school children.

This Friday as you celebrate life, I encourage you to look for what lights up your own world.
