Hats for Halloween

There is a child in every one of us who is still a trick-or-treater looking for a brightly-lit front porch. ~Robert Braun

Halloween is a chance for adults to unleash their inner child. A chance to let your inhibitions run free. This can easily be transferred to knitting. The creativity one can express in knitting is endless. Last year, I made the British Hubby and myself Spider Beanies out of Malabrigo Rios. The pattern is Spider Slouchy. The British Hubby likes to wear his inside out all year round. He thinks it grips his head nicely when he runs (I may have gave him a funny look when he told me that, but at least he’s wearing it). This year, I stumbled upon a fun book from the library, Knitted Animal Hats.  I especially love Pattie the Cow and Leandro the Lion.

Update on other wips:

  • Portland Bias Scarf: Skein three has 15.08 grams left.
  • Frank in Pairs: I just finished the third Pairs stripe. I love how this is turning out.
  • Dewberry Dancer: No new progress on this.

What’s this? Yesterday, I gave an item a nice soak. Could it be the first Liberated Orphan Wip of October?

Burt’s checking out his investments. I suspect he’s put everything into tuna. Or maybe he’s interested in being the first tuxedo kitty on Mars. He is our most adventurous kitty.
