You must be the change you want to see in the world. ~ Gandhi
This time of year can be really stressful and chaotic. Shopping, baking, mailing cards, cleaning the house before the relatives arrive; the list seems to be endless. This year I decided to join the Peace-Along. I debated on adding a new project (okay, I didn’t debate that long). I love the idea of my knitting spreading peace. I’m using Malabrigo Silkpaca in Simply Taupe. This is going to be a gift so it’s okay I can’t wear alpaca. I’m trying a new to me cast on, the I-cord cast on. It’s slow going, but it’s worth the effort. Currently, I have 150 of the 318 stitches. (You’re probably thinking I’ll barely have this cast on before it ends!) If you have a chance, check out the daily peace tips. I’ve been enjoying the daily reflections.
Update on other wips:
- Frank in Pairs: This project is currently on walk about. I haven’t been able to locate it in about five days. I’ve looked in all the usual places and some of the more unusual places (Ernie sometimes drags projects into his cave). Maybe it’s out in nature meditating on peace?
- Dewberry Dancer: Just finished row 33 on section two. Slow and steady on this one.
Burt and Ernie’s idea of helping decorate.
Here’s a photo from one of my favorite hikes the British Hubby and I did in 2016.
