A year of snow, a year of plenty. ~ French Proverb
Yesterday it snowed. Twenty four hours later, most of it is still here. I know many parts of the world deal with this type of weather several months out of the year, but this an oddity for my little part of the PNW. It did melt slightly yesterday and then froze overnight making commuting rather dangerous. Thus, another snow day!
An extra day off meant I had time to bake a cake. I tried the Victorian Sponge from 100 Cakes and Bakes. It tastes wonderful, but it doesn’t look so pretty. I think I need more practice before I try out for the Great British Bake Off or Bake or Die as the British Hubby calls it.
I also had time to finish some dishcloths. I’m counting two cloths as one finished wip for this month. Above is my dimpled dishcloth and Scrappy Dishcloths of 2017. That’s two completed wips this month.
Update on Feb-blue-ary & other wips:
- Blue Banana: No progress on this one yet.
- Malabrigo Diamonds: I’m working on the border!
- Frank in Paris: The next Paris section is 30 rows in length. I have 18 rows completed.
- Dewberry Dancer: 11 rows down in section three. Just 23 more to go.
No new kitty photos. They may have been hiding from me today. I might have taken them all out in the snow yesterday. I think they’ll be happy when the snow melts.
