The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear. ~ Lao Tzu
Spring can be a very busy and chaotic time of year for many people. When we were nomadic and agricultural based societies, Spring meant migrations or planting. While one may not migrate or need to plant food for the year, modern living does not seem to be any less chaotic. The days seem to be getting longer since it’s lighter later. It’s tempting to try to jam pack those extra hours with more activities. Resist the temptation. Find a few moments to just be still. If you live in the PNW, sit and listen to it rain. Or try using a Tibetan singing bowl (you can find videos on YouTube as well). It’s amazing how rejuvenating these simple acts can be.
Above is a progress photo of my Eggplant Constellation. I just started the main part of the pattern. This is my first hat with fingering weight yarn. It’s slow going, but I think it will be worth it to have a light weight hat. You can just make out the first dip.
This was Ernie’s favorite sleep spot last year. Isn’t he just so cute!
