My boss is a baseball fan. He likes to stream Cubs games in his office in between meetings. Here’s an interesting tidbit: the first live sports event on KDKA radio took place on April 11, 1921. It was a boxing event by Johnny Ray and Johnny Dundee. It’s hard to imagine not streaming any sporting event or having access to instant information.

Update on Purpuas Wips:

• Meandering Lace Shawl: This is on repeat six in section two. It has around 65 stitches. I love wearing lace weight shawls. Why don’t I have more? Oh right, they take forever to knit.
• Dewberry Entrapment: I’m on section two. Wow, this is so much fun to knit.
• African Violet Shawl: This is on the first lace section. Watching the stripes form helps keep this shawl interesting.

Burt refused to model Dewberry Entrapment. I’ll try again next week.
