Bulbs, Birds and Books

Some days you just have to create your own sunshine.

This weekend, my allergies hit with full force. Things are starting to sprout. This makes the pollen count high. I noticed these bulbs on our back deck. 004This Spring, we added some bird feeders. The kitties love them. The birds love them. The birds are especially fond of the suet feeders on the ends. 006I’ve tried to take a photo of birds visiting, but Ernie gets so excited. 002The suet feeders have another use.  They double as scrap yarn holders. My Malabrigo Junkie chums use these for their neighborhood birds to make colorful nests. I’m not sure they’ve taken the bait. 005The British Hubby is an H.P. Lovecraft fan. I decided it was time for me to read his favorite author. I started with At the Mountains of Madness. It didn’t disappoint. Without giving away too much, this Sci-Fi thriller starts out with an expedition to the unknown. What they find is both exhilarating and terrifying. When this story ended, I had to sleep with the night light on! Up next, Vanilla Beaned. I love a good murder mystery. This one includes cupcakes.
