Fear is a reaction. Courage is a decision. ~ Winston Churchill
It’s been awhile since I had a books, Bold Betties and Mitten update. I received this yarn in April! The yarn is from Twisted Owl. The color The Unsinkable Margaret Tobin Brown. We all remember Molly Brown from the Titanic movie. Molly Brown was a myth created by Hollywood. Margaret Tobin Brown ran for political office eight years before woman could even vote. You can find out more about her remarkable life here. I think these are going to become mittens for another coworker that has a fall birthday. I also finished Booked for Trouble. This was a great audio book for my commute. What more can I ask for when a book containing a library cat and library in a lighthouse? It also contained a love triangle, car chase and exposure of long forgotten family secrets. It was great! This is book two in the Lighthouse Library Mysteries. I need to read the first one in this series.
Mitten Update: I didn’t think I was going to have anything knew to talk about on my mittens, but I have a new and finished project to chat about.
Noro hat and mittens are finished! It started off as one ear flap. Then became two.
Then a finished cap.
Next came the tiny mittens!
I couldn’t decide what book to gift my coworker so I bought two. Woolbur and Shall I Knit You a Hat?
I think Gracie would watch the Titanic sink in her tunnel. I’m not sure she would go back for more survivors.
I am very excited to have a project completed from all that yarn I acquired on my Western themed yarn crawl last month.
