Pizza, Profiteroles and Evil Cats

If you’re going through hell, keep going. ~ Winston Churchill

It’s been awhile dear followers. Sometimes life throws you a curve ball, kicks you when your down, spits on you and then lights you on fire. (I think you get the idea.) The British Hubby and I needed sometime to evaluate life, regroup and get back on our feet. We solider on and keep going. Sometimes life is crummy, and then you find a new normal. I’m not going to bore you with all the details, but I am also aware in this digital age it is far too easy to act like everything is awesome all the time. Sometimes life is really hard. The mark of an individual is not how many times you get knocked off a horse, but how many times you get back on. Unfortunately, this means we haven’t made it to the new Godzilla movie yet, but we hope too soon. Have any of you seen it?

We have found another great B movie classic. Uncanny from 1977. The opening scene shows the main character being stalked through the streets of Montreal by cats. This movie was fantastic and will become one we watch every October for our Halloween movie fest. It was 90 cat filled minutes of suspense, cuteness and murder. Burt, Ernie and Gracie gave this their 12 paws of approval.

We had a mini carb feast with pizza and some profiteroles. (I forgot to get a glamour shot of the profiteroles, but trust me they were amazing.)

Now that the temperature has started creeping up, I’ve switched over from stouts to ciders. I found a mango raspberry cider. It’s on the sweeter side for my palate, but still very tasty.

I hope to be back to my regular posting schedule, but we’ll see what life has in store.
