“Sometimes the only way to heal our wounds is to make peace with the demons that caused them.” Dr. Ishiro Serizawa Godzilla: King of Monsters
The British Hubby and I finally made it to the new Godzilla movie. An unexpected outcome of life preventing us from going sooner, we were 2 out 6 people in the theatre.

I laughed, I cried, and I cheered for the monsters to triumph. I’m not going to spoil the plot, but I will say the amount of Godzilla lore, music and clips from previous movies was fantastic. This makes the 36th Godzilla movie produced not including the anime movies. Had we not spent the past year watching everything Godzilla, I would have missed quite a bit of context and back story. That said, this could also be a stand alone movie if this is your first introduction to Godzilla. I could have done with less story about the humans and more monster shots, but overall this will become a Godzilla classic.

Like any die hard Godzilla fanatic, we will purchase the movie when it’s released and the soundtrack. Godzilla: King of Monsters will have to tied us over until Godzilla vs Kong is released in March 2020. Just 270 more days to go! Maybe we’ll watch all the Kong movies next.

I think Gracie’s fluffiness detracts from her attempting to impersonate Godzilla.
Glad you finally got to see it. I hope things are getting better.
