In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already eased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.
Sure, I bet you thought since Day 1 involved no knitting it wouldn’t take me another week to post about Day 2? I thought that too! Then I remembered I have two calendars to knit. This is going to a marathon craftvent knitting. It’s probably going to be 25 weeks of knitting here. Let’s be honest. It’s not like these are the only two items I’m working on.
Day 2 brought yarnie goodness in many forms and of course more tea! At the rate I’m knitting, I might even get through all the tea calendars. Fortunately, in my serendipitous Craftvent double purchases, I managed to buy both colorways. Here’s Northern Lights and Cinnamon Sugar! I have a few more rows to knit on Day 2 for Northern Lights. We’ll see if I can sneak some knitting time in during the day this week.
- Day 1: Needles and pattern code, msm hand cream and tender loving care herbal tea “Tea-LC” from Plum Deluxe.
- Day 2: Yarn for the first lace section and DK weight yarn in Barn Door from Apple Fiber Studio. I had some amazing teas while working on this section. Chocolate-orange rooibos from Lizzy Kate, Elderberry Wine from Adagio teas, and Grandmas Caramel Butterscotch Black from Plum Deluxe.

To go with all this amazing tea, I made a pan of keto brownies and added in some sugar free caramel chips. It’s amazing how adding one small ingredient can elevate these brownies. My mouth is watering just typing this. Yummy!
SkeinHerder’s Songs: Today I’ve mostly been listening to 100 Funky House The Best of Funky House 2020. The music is fantastic, but the video loop is even better. First off, who doesn’t want to dance to Soul Train, but wait for the scenes from the 1988 Crystal Lake National Aerobic Championships. I had no idea there even were aerobic championships. I dare you to keep still!
I leave you with a rather grumpy Gracie photo. She was not pleased to be woken up for a Holiday photo shoot. Off screen, Burt is laughing in the background. He refused to cooperate. (Aka, I couldn’t catch him.)

Try starting your day with gratitude for a week. How would that change your outlook on the day?
