The Big Chill

The best way out is always through. ~ Robert Frost

I may have mentioned it snowed here on New Year’s Eve. Normally, snow at my house doesn’t last long. It hovers right around the freezing mark for a bit and then warms up. It’s day five of below freezing temperatures. Even the highs have been below freezing. The poor kitties have been camping out on all the the heating vents. This is the perfect weather to drink pots of tea and make a pot of soup! I’ve been enjoying Oregon Breakfast tea with Carr’s Ginger Lemon tea cookies. The soup is a tortellini sausage. I love soup with zucchini. In this version, I tried chicken sausage. I think I might try tofurky next time. No link for this one. The recipe came from my recipe box.

My last cast on for 2016 was a pair of Vanilla Latte Socks for the hubby. He needs more socks. Right, now I think he wishes he had another pair of Rye socks, but I can only knit so fast!

Update on other wips:

  • Frank in Pairs: Two Pairs stripes completed and 12 more to complete.
  • Dewberry Dancer: 67 rows completed in section two. I’m starting to get excited about this one.
  • Project Peace: No progress on this one.

Burt, “Hey, this isn’t what I ordered!”

Doesn’t it seem like forever since my last hike? Sadly, I can’t get out until the weekend.
