If June was the beginning of a hopeful summer, and July the juice middle, August was suddenly feeling like the bitter end. ~ Sarah Dessen
If you live in the Northern Hemisphere, today is the longest day of the year. The past few days have been rather warm in the PNW. I’ll admit the British Hubby and I may have bought ice cream last night. Ice cream is my favorite treat when it’s hot. I know it’s not great for the no carb/no sugar life style. Good thing today is cloudy and chilly with a hint of rain in the air. I love these type of days. How do you celebrate the start of Summer? My cold brewing iced tea production is in full swing. I even bought some new teas. I’m pretty excited to try the Blood Orange one. I also cast on a new dishcloth, Crabby. It’s a free pattern. Dishcloths make perfect summer time knitting. I see more in my future.
The kitties are mostly back to normal. No more hissing or acting loopy. Gracie is still on pain meds for her tooth extraction, but she seems to be herself except a bit more friendly. Ernie’s enjoying the fresh summer linens. It’s like they know when there are clean sheets.
