Fall Equinox

Autumn is a second spring where every leaf is a flower. ~ Albert Camus

The Fall Equinox was officially on Saturday. I noticed that today the sunrise and sunset in the PNW is exactly 12 hours apart. After today, the days are officially longer than the nights. One of my dear followers, informed me that shorter daylight is what triggers the leaves to turn colors. (I always love hearing from my followers.) 003The tree in our front yard is starting to turn colors. Soon the massive maple bush in our front yard will deposit all it’s leaves and our bunny family will have to find a new home. Autumn is my favorite time of year. I love the colors, the warm beverages and soups, hand knit socks, snuggling with a cat, and of course tea. (Okay, I mentioned tea twice, but I think it deserves. What other beverage soothes your sBoul while warming your body?) I’m excited to pull out my hats and the new scarves I’ve been working on. I love knitting Halloween themed items especially when it comes in the form of a kit. Below are the four I couldn’t resist. I’m sure there will be more. 004Ernie is practicing for colder nights. Doesn’t he look so cute burrowing in the blankets?

001How’s your week going? Stay tuned to find out what my mini kits become.
