Love beyond all computations.
Since July 13, the British Hubby and I have been watching Godzilla movies every Friday night. Mega monsters that had their own movies also went into the mix. A few weeks ago, we watched a movie out of order. Ebirah, Horror of the Deep is fully colorized. We’re about 10 movies into our Godzilla/Mega Monster Movie quest and these movies still haven’t lost their appeal. This movie just might be my favorite so far. It had a psychic, a dance marathon, a giant lobster, a giant eagle, world destruction and a guest appearance by mothra.
Imagine how much butter one would need if this lobster was on the menu. Perhaps they’re fighting over a secret stash of yarn hidden on the island? Mothra does make an appearance in this movie. Perhaps it’s a special silk blend that only Mothra can produce? I think Godzilla would look stunning in a silk shawl. At the last minute, Mothra saves the villagers and the villagers save Godzilla. I’ve started to develop quite a warm spot for Godzilla and these mega monsters.
I have no idea what project I was knitting a few weeks ago when we first watched this movie. Instead of guessing, I’m going to post about the new project I cast on this morning. Yesterday, the Malabrigo Junkies met up at Tolt for a yarn adventure. I found this lovely plum purple for my Plum Biased Wrap. I’m always a sucker for purple.
Gracie’s Godzilla impression needs some work. Sunday night is Korean movie night. Tonight’s pick is Bluebeard . Have a fantastic work week!
