Monday Monday

Always believe something wonderful is about to happen.

Today’s theme music is brought to you by The Mamas and the Papas.

How is your Monday going? I’m a little sad I didn’t make much progress on the MM19 projects. I had high hopes to get items in a wool soak. That didn’t happen nor did I get any ends woven in or anything seamed. Some work weeks just don’t leave much crafting time. A few projects are so very close to being finished. If the kitties could just help out a bit more with the household chores, then maybe I could squeeze in some finishing.

There are only 2 projects in the MM19 collection that still require knitting. Since I have several in the finishing stages, I’ve decided to hold off until September to look at any older MM projects. (September is just a week away!)

This week, the British Hubby and I discovered our apple tree is baring fruit this year. We have four apples growing.

This is Ernie’s favorite way to spend Mondays. Snuggle with his two favorite humans.

Hope your week is off to a great start.

      • I’m the same way. I’m working on relaxing a bit and trying to slow down and enjoy the moment. I think I drive myself because I’m afraid if I slow down that means I’m a “failure.” Or that the rug will be pulled out from under me. I’m trying to figure out how to blog about this, but I haven’t yet, so I’m sharing with you! Just remember, you knit for pleasure. So no need to make it another job, right? I have to remind myself of that all the time!

      • That’s a hard topic to tackle in a blog post. Work life balance is not an easy subject as tech makes it possible to connect to social media and work from any place at any time. I’ve sort of been side stepping it here. Knitting is my happy place and that’s the main reason I don’t knit for money. I love giving knitted items away, but I don’t want another job with deadlines. That can also equate to getting blog posts out. I want to enjoy this process and life not stress about it. You’re not failure to want to enjoy life and be present in the moment.
