A cat does not want all the world to love them, only those they have chosen to love.

Since the British Hubby and I are finding new ways to celebrate life, why shouldn’t the cats as well? To be fair, I think our cats already have a pretty amazing life. Sure, they wash their own rude bits, but they get their favorite foods, catnip toys, thermal bedding and lots of snuggles and chin scratches. Now, Burt meowingly voices his disdain if I try to answer morning work emails at my make shift desk, the kitchen table. He prefers I sit on the couch beside him watching the humming bird and regular bird feeders. Now I can provide him with soothing pets as he drifts off into kitty dreamland. I haven’t decided which one of us likes this morning ritual more. I think it might be a tie.

The British Hubby surprised Burt, Ernie and Gracie with a can of sardines. Ernie and Burt were very pleased at the appearance of fishy goodness!

They were even more excited when Gracie walked away from her bowl. Gracie wanted nothing to do with sardines today. More for Burt and Ernie!

Today, Burt claimed this as his new house.

For some reason, I think this is what Burt’s singing in his head while he sits in his new kitty condo.
