“I think he got the point.” ~ Thunderball
Last Friday, we only managed one movie. It was so lovely outside, I had a walk with a coworker. Nothing like a walk and an adult beverage with a friend. It’s challenging to wear a mask while imbibing, but we did keep them on to walk. The key is finding ones made from breathable material.

Thunderball is the next Bond movie. I think this is the first movie that has an opening scene before any credits. What an opening scene it was with a staged funeral and Tom Jones singing. It felt a bit like a lounge act.
Spectre is back. This time they have nuclear warheads and a plan to fire at Miami. Ever wonder where the cat actors are from these movies? Are their great great great grand kittens enjoying the royalties? Or are they always strung out on catnip and will furball in any old corner?

This movie has so many great yet highly improbable action scenes. It’s fantastic Friday night movie watching. I guess if you’re 007, life really is that exciting.

The ending was fantastic. It was like an underwater western with harpoons and scuba gear. The last rescue is so fantastically Bond. It’s so over the top. It’s great. I enjoyed this movie more than Goldfinger.

We had a treat for pizza toppings this week. Pineapples! Most fruit is forbidden on a low-carb keto diet. It just has too much sugar. We have berries from time to time, but we try to pack our diet with more veggies than carbs. In the summer, that’s hard with all the fresh fruit in season. I can’t remember the last time I had pineapples. It was fantastic with my cranberry lime cider and the garlic cheese curds. Yum!

I’m making slow, but steady progress on Great Reef. Burt is such a great model. His tuxedo markings really make this bright yarn pop.

How was your weekend? I hope the week is off to a great start.
