Celebrating Life: Let it Bee

Sometimes you have to forget what’s gone, appreciate what still remains, and look forward to what’s coming next.

It’s the last week in February. It’s been cold and dark. My body is tired. It’s gearing up for Spring allergy season. On Wednesday, I felt like Friday would never get here, but it did! Typically, I have tons of creative ideas for Friday’s Celebrating Life post. This week the creative juices simply weren’t flowing. Then I remembered my gratitude journal and looking for the positive side of life. When I spotted this journal in the store at the beginning of the year, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for. One, I love a good pun. Two, it was exactly what I was hoping to change. I wanted to let those negative experiences and emotions that we all hold onto go every day. What would it feel like if instead of replaying a conflict or conversation that didn’t go as I had hoped over and over again in my head I let it go? What if every night I simply released those negative feelings and emotions and looked for the positives in my day?

I’ll admit when I started this at the beginning of 2021, I wasn’t sure I would stick with it or that it would truly make a difference. How wrong I was dear followers. Yes, some days it is hard to look for positives, but those are the days when it’s the most beneficial. Even the British Hubby has noticed my moods have become more upbeat.

SkeinHerder’s Songs: Today I’ve been bopping along to Prince especially Let’s Go Crazy. What’s on your Friday playlist?

I know you’re all probably tired of this Ernie photo already, but I can’t help but giggle every time I see it. Sending you some Friday cheer!
