Working from Home: Week 36

If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion. ~ Dali Lama

It’s been another week. That’s 10,080 minutes if you were wondering. Some how I thought there would be more than that. What’s happening this week? Well, it’s hard to avoid the presidential election happening here. The British Hubby picked up a stomach bug. At this conjuncture, we don’t think it’s COVID. While he hasn’t been tested, his symptoms don’t indicate that. He’s had a nifty telecom appointment and is finishing a course of antibiotics. We are hopeful he’ll feel better in a day or two.

No garden updates to report now. I’m going to switch gears and talk about keto finds we’ve discovered this week. We like foods with carbs and sugar because let’s face it sugar is in everything in America, and we’re addicted. (I think it’s a conspiracy between the FDA, politicians and pharmaceutical companies.) As we find new alternatives it becomes easier to stay off carbs and sugar completely. Our latest discovery are some decent sugar free gummies. These are plant based and taste exactly like the real deal. Below they’re paired with some keto bread for an old British standby, cheese on toast. Look how cute these are!

Cheese on toast is always amazing, but knowing I can have it and stay on my food plan makes me so very happy. Strangely, it even impacts how hard I workout. (Or maybe that’s nervous energy for the election results?) Either way, the more keto friendly products we find, the easier this becomes to maintain for life.

SkeinHerder Ponders: This week I’ve been thinking about diamond planets. We know so little about the universe. Check out this article.

I leave you today with this amazing sunrise photo I caught over the weekend. I love how the light peeks through the amber leaves. Isn’t nature simply amazing even if it’s in your own driveway?
